How the EYEBROWS treatment Works?

Following an initial consultation, the shape of your brows will be determined according to facial morphology, using the Golden Ratio of 1.618. During treatment, a pigment is implanted manually into the superficial dermal layer of the skin, using a very fine blade. This will appear to mimic the natural hair pattern, colour, and flow, leaving a very natural appearance.

Once the initial treatment is complete, a follow-up appointment is carried out within 5 to 12 weeks. I will analyze the healed result and arrange further work to either correct color or add strokes which have lightened or disappeared during the healing process. Usually, the client will have around 75% left of what was there after the first treatment. Furthermore, the color will be slightly duller, as skin has regenerated, leaving their appearance less vibrant and more natural.

All tools used for the semi-permanent eyebrow makeup treatment are sterile and disposable, as hygiene is of the utmost importance when working closely with clients on broken skin.

WHAT ARE POWDER BROWS?

The goal of powder brows, a semi permanent eyebrow makeup procedure, is to give the eyebrows a powdery, delicate look. Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device identical to a tattoo gun.

What’s the Difference Between Microblading vs Powder Brows?

I often get asked this question: What's the difference between powderbrows and microblading? Both services are a form of cosmetic tattooing with much in common, but there are distinct differences. Skin type plays a prominent role for candidates considering microblading and powdered brows and the look you’re trying to achieve.

Through the use of a hand tool, microblading produces browline hair strokes that resemble genuine hair. Rather than using individual hair strokes, powdered brows assist clients in achieving a more powdered or ombre effect. Powdered brows have a soft makeup look and work great for oily or mature skin clients. Many clients opt for this look even if they don’t have oily skin, as it provides a filled-in look that works perfectly for their skin type and personal preferences. Depending on your style and desired look, both brow styles can be adjusted to look soft or intense.

Microblading

During the microblading process, I meticulously apply hand-drawn hair strokes into the epidermal layer of the skin using a hand tool and pigment. I carefully apply the hand tool, dipped in color, to the skin in the form of individual hair strokes for microblading. Microblading mimics realistic hair-like strokes designed to flow like a natural eyebrow. For clients who wish to create brows where hair has been lost or fill in gaps in the brow line, microblading is a terrific option. When I work with fair-skinned and fair-haired clients who want to look natural, I frequently suggest microblading.

Powderbrows

A machine or hand tool can achieve An ombre effect using powdered brows rather than individual hair strokes. I recommend powderbrows for individuals with oily or mature skin and those wanting a soft makeup look. The soft makeup approach gives the brows a subtle appearance by having darker tails that fade to a lighter color at the beginning of the brows.

Those who have hair but cover it up with makeup are the best candidates for powderbrows. We can add hair strokes for extra texture if your brows are thinner. Powdered brows traditionally last 2-4 years, while microblading usually lasts 2-3 years.

Day 1 (Day of Treatment)

Please clean your brows every hour until you go to bed. Using cooled boiled water and a cotton pad, remove your aftercare cream and apply a small amount of fresh aftercare cream with a cotton bud. Please be careful to not scratch your brows. Make sure your hands are completely clean before caring for your eyebrows.

Days 2 and 3

Continue with the process above, every two hours.

Days 4 – 10

Continue with the process above, every morning and night.

Things to Avoid

The following must be avoided during all 10 days post-microblading procedure:

Things to Avoid

  • Exercise and Activities That Increase Sweating (Keep-Fit Classes, Walking, Yoga, etc.)

  • Swimming

  • Hot Saunas, Hot Baths, or Jacuzzis

  • Sun Tanning or Salon Tanning

  • Any Laser or Chemical Treatments or Peelings, and/or Any Creams Containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on the Face or Neck

  • Picking, Peeling, or Scratching the Micro-Pigmented Area – This May Scar the Area or Remove Pigment

  • Performing Tasks related to Heavy Household Cleaning, such as Garage or Basement Cleaning Where There Is a Lot of Airborne Debris

  • Drinking Alcohol in Excess – This May Cause Slower Healing

  • Driving in Open-Air Vehicles such as Convertibles, Boats, Bicycles, or Motorcycles

  • Touching the Eyebrow Area except for When Rinsing and Applying Post-Care Cream with a Cotton Swab

Please Note

  • Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these aftercare instructions these symptoms may quickly disappear.
  • Touch-ups and/or corrections of the shape/design are recommended only after 5 weeks from initial treatment.

What to Expect

Your new temporary eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely, and the colour will soften gradually.

Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment in the cotton swab as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin. Once the healing of the skin begins, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the colour pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial colour and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.

Always apply a thin layer of Phibrow Sun and Sweat cream to your brows 15 minutes before sun exposure or any gym, walking, or workout activity. Sun exposure and excessive sweating (workout) will cause the colour pigment to break down and fade more quickly.
